01

The challenge

NET Car Rental rents electric cars in Chiang Mai to visitors and locals, with pick-up at the airport or in town and delivery to hotels. Like many rental operators in Thailand, it confirms bookings in chat rather than through an online checkout: LINE for Thai customers, WhatsApp for many international travellers.

The business needed a fast bilingual website that search engines can read, that shows a proper preview when a link is shared in a chat app, and that lets customers price a car and send a complete booking request in a few steps. Just as important, the team wanted to update cars, prices and deals themselves, without waiting on a developer, and without any risk of breaking the live site.

What we built

We built a pre-rendered React site that feels like a single-page app but serves real HTML for every page, in both Thai and English.

  • Pre-rendered pages — Vite and React 18 with TanStack Router, rendered to static HTML at build time, so search engines and the link previews in LINE and Facebook see the full content. The build also generates the sitemap, hreflang links and structured data for the business, each car and its daily price.
  • Fleet and locations — pages for the BYD Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal and MG4, and for pick-up points including Chiang Mai Airport, the Old City, Nimman, the train station and hotel delivery.
  • Four-step booking — insurance and extras, driver details, review, and confirmation. The final step creates a short booking reference, then hands a formatted summary to LINE (with a QR code for desktop visitors) or WhatsApp, and offers a calendar file for the pick-up.
  • Strapi 5 CMS — staff edit cars, prices, deals, guides and FAQs in Strapi. Publishing triggers a GitHub Action that rebuilds the site. Content is validated during the build, so an invalid entry stops the build instead of reaching the live site.
  • Quality gates — checks for missing translations and broken links on every build, and Lighthouse performance budgets for the key page templates.

The result

We delivered the complete site in Thai and English: fleet, locations, deals, guides, FAQ and the booking flow, plus a CMS the client's team can update without a developer. Booking requests arrive in the chat apps the business already uses, each with a reference code that both sides can quote.

In Lighthouse 12 desktop lab runs of the production build, the Chiang Mai Airport location page scored 93 Performance, 100 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices and 100 SEO, with a Largest Contentful Paint of 1.4 s. These are lab scores for that page type, not field data from real visitors.
